Recruitment is a very exciting time for our chapter and we are looking forward to meeting you during Recruitment 2009! It is a week long mutual selection process consisting of four rounds, where potential new members have the opportunity to meet with sisters from each sorority.
First round is August 12 and 13, 2009. This round is fast paced and exciting! The parties are short and the purpose is to introduce you to all of the various sororities on campus. Relax and be yourself, this is the longest round, hang in there!
Second round is August 14, 2009. This round is all about house tours! You will take a tour of each sorority's house, and you have the opportunity to speak with a few members in greater depth.
Third round is August 15, 2009. The first part of round three is our opportunity to share AXO's philanthropy with you and demonstrate what it means to us. Also during this round, each sorority will entertain you with a skit, which is designed to show you the personality of the sorority. It gives you the chance to see the fun and laid-back side of the sisters. This is the time to think about your difficult decision to come...
Preferential round is August 16, 2009. The last round is much more serious and often times emotional. Listen to the sorority women explain what it means to be an Alpha Chi Omega and make the decision that is best for you!
Bid day is August 17, 2009!!! This is a day of fun and surprises for all the new sorority members! Bid Day is a day live music, fun gifts, and sisterhood served up with delicious food. This is also the first day of classes, welcome to UGA!
New members are offered bids based on the five standards of Alpha Chi Omega: academic interest, character, financial responsibility, leadership and personal development.
